IDC Staff Course in Thailand, Koh Lanta, is the next step for PADI Instructors to continue their career with PADI. If you are thinking of becoming a Master Instructor or even a Course Director, you must have the PADI IDC Staff rating. However, it’s also a great idea to attend this course if you would like to obtain valuable skills before opening your own or managing someone else’s dive center.
Are you ready to take the next step in your scuba diving instructor career?
As a Staff Instructor candidate in Koh Lanta, you will follow the Instructor Development Course and learn how to evaluate the instructor candidates. The candidates that you will be evaluating are the actual candidates.
After successfully completing the course, you can independently teach PADI Assistant Instructor courses as well as assist with IDCs and other instructor-level continuing education courses. Furthermore, you can continue your scuba diving career onto the Master Instructor and even the Course Director rating!

What are the requirements to attend the IDC Staff course in Koh Lanta?
PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer Rating
Be a certified diver for at least 6 months
including mask, snorkel, fins, compass, SMB and a whistle (tanks and weights will be provided free of charge)
Issue at least 150 certifications at various levels
An Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care
(or qualifying first aid and CPR training from another organization) course completion within the past 24 months
