Rescue Diver Course Koh Lanta – Learn How To Save a Life in Thailand

The Rescue Diver Course in Koh Lanta will build upon what you’ve already learned in your open water and advanced open water courses. Moreover, we will teach you how to prevent problems underwater as well as how to manage them if they occur. First Aid course is also required to be done along with the rescue course unless you have obtained a similar qualifying certification in the past 2 years. Some of the exercises that you will learn during this course in Thailand include recognizing and managing stress in other divers, emergency management and equipment, as well as rescuing panicked and unresponsive divers – both underwater and on the surface. All the exercises that you will practice with us will prepare you to be ready in case of any type of accident underwater. To complete this course, you need to combine it with an EFR First Response Course. Unless, you are already certified as a CPR responder, or have an equivalent certification. If you don’t have such, no worries, let us know ahead of time and we will organize an EFR Course for you.

The Rescue Course is 2 days only on Koh Lanta Island!

It costs only 13,000 thb (excluding national park fees) and requires 1 day in the pool to learn all the risks and emergency skills as well as 1 day in the sea to practice them!

PADI Rescue Diver Course Schedule

This course takes only two days to complete. The first day starts with a pool session where you will learn and practice all the required skills. After that, you will do two open water dives from the boat. During these dives, you will repeat and master the skills of the rescuer. Depending on the day and the diving group, an additional third dive might be available for only 900thb extra.

After a successful demonstration of all the rescue skills, you will need to take an exam – the final step to get certified. Depending on the fact whether you are certified as CPR provider or not, another half day might be required for the EFR Course.

In the price of the course we will provide you with a warm lunch, drinks and tropical snacks on our speedboat. In addition, we will pick you up and drop you off to your hotel on both days of the course.

Do not forget your EFR, First Aid and Primary and Secondary Care Course

As we have written before, it is a necessary prerequisite that you are certified as an EFR – Emergency First Responder. An equivalent certification can be sufficient to pass the course. This course is very useful for anyone, not just divers. You will learn what to do in emergency situations, such as when someone breaks their spine or drowns. In addition, you will learn how to save teenagers and children – something that all parents should know, whether they are scuba divers or not.

This course takes only half a day to complete and the certification requires a skill refreshment every 2 years. You will need to repeat the skills and complete an exam to successfully pass the course.
