PADI IDC Thailand Koh Lanta – Any Questions?

In the first days of this Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course in Thailand, you will learn and complete Dive Theory segments as well as prepare daily assignments for teaching presentation. In addition, you will learn the PADI training system of education through Confined Water Session, Open Water Sessions and Knowledge Development Presentations.

Continuing the instructor training, all this knowledge will allow you to organize dives, present information, conduct skill development with your student and control open water dives. In this way, all instructors candidates will memorize easier how to safely teach scuba divers using the PADI standards.

You can have a look at our Koh Lanta PADI IDC detailed schedule sample here in order to understand better how our instructor training is organized and what you will learn during the course.

After completing the PADI IDC requirements for all instructor candidates, you will be attending the final PADI IE, Instructor Examination, supervised by a PADI Examiner.

Basically, it will be a similar version of what you have practiced already with your Course Director and your fellow instructor candidates during the Instructor Development Course days.

Koh Lanta, is a paradise in Thailand: best place to be not only for the PADI Instructor Course!

Koh Lanta is a stunning laid-back island of Thailand known for its coral-fringed beaches, limestone outcrops and rainforests. For dive professionals, it’s an island where you can dive amazing places during the day and relax during astonishing sunset in the evening. There is no better place to start your scuba diving career than with us while spotting black tip sharks, whale sharks or even mantas on a lucky day!

Even though it is one of the nicest Thailand’s scuba diving industry island and world’s premier training location, Koh Lanta is still an out-of-the-crowd location. Really.

With us on Koh Lanta, Thailand, Master Scuba Diver Trainer Preparation is included for free!

Yes exactly, after the IE, we will do the 5 Instructor Specialties included in the package to shorten down your way to achieve the MSDT Instructor Trainer Certification.

The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is at least 6 days, for candidates who completed IDC eLearning.

In Phoenix Divers we prefer to give you more time so our Professional Instructor Training is about 2 weeks.

After these 14 days of the course it might occur that the IE (instructor Examination) is straight after or some days later.

Please read more about our schedule here.

After Examiners from PADI evaluate you successfully during the IE, PADI office processes your instructor application.

When everything is done, normally a couple of weeks, you’ll receive an email that you’re a certified instructor and you’ll be allowed to teach.

Our Course Director is normally going through course materials with all the candidates and explains you what needs to be done as a pre-preparation for your PADI IDC. He will support you by email the month before your course starts to check if you meet all the requirements.

Actually there is nothing really necessary to be prepared before starting the instructor course, except some intro section of your e-learning and some theory exams. But do not worry: it’s the IDC itself that will prepare you for everything!

We believe, as experienced PADI 5 Stars IDC Center, that following the Instructor Development Course presented by our high rated CD, will be enough for everybody to be more than prepared.

However, if for some reason some of the candidates would need “extra attention”, we will be more than happy to help them singularly.
